Concept
You Mukada
[Assistant director, video director, rakugaki artist]
Lives in Kobe.
He mainly works as a film assistant director and director of film visuals, and also teaches at vocational schools in the Kansai region. He has worked as an assistant director on films such as “Sin Clock” (directed by Kenji Makimura and starring Yosuke Kubozuka, set to be released in 2023), “Mendou na Hitobito” (starring Chinosuke Tateba and Koji Matoba), and “Sorokin no Mita Sakura.”
He also worked on the comic, animation, and title art for the film “Soredake that’s it” (directed by Gakuryuu Ishii, starring Shota Sometani and Go Ayano). He also worked as an assistant producer for “Natsu, Itarukoro” (starring Yuki Kura and Lily Franky), directed by Elaiza Ikeda, and recently worked as a producer for “Sociology of Filipina Pub Girls” (directed by Mitsuhito Shiraha/Koki Maeda).
He is also in charge of various other fields, including video recording and production staff for dome concerts of Namie Amuro, EXILE, as well as field- headquarters progression, making edit, and image illustration for the METI/Eiga 24-ku (Film 24 Wards) “Fukushima Hamadori Cinema Project”. His film “Immature Egg Punk Harmony” will be screened at Motomachi Cinema, and “Dream Melts” and “Dream Melts/” was screened live at KOBE VARIT. in 2021. He is currently working on his latest work to coincide with this exhibition.
